Mzansi reality TV star, Makgotso Lee-Anne Mokopo, popularly known as Gogo Maweni of Izangoma Zodumo has been spooking her followers on TikTok since the beginning of the year, on 15 January, she shared a video performing one of her rituals and had the online users creeped out with all the chilling decorations inside her sanctuary.
On many occasions, Gogo Maweni has shared with her online followers that she did not perform witchcraft, although she could if she wanted to.
In a clip, she gave her followers a glimpse of herself performing a ritual.
Gogo Maweni could be seen dressed in a sangoma outfit and seated in a hut decorated with old, dusty statues and dead animal parts, among other things.
She had a brownish soil-look-a-like substance in her palm and blew twice into a calabash-shaped wooden bottle. Gogo Maweni then blew the substance at three lit candles.
After viewing the clip, some of Gogo Maweni’s TikTok followers were surprised to see her posting such content. They pointed out that such rituals were meant to be kept secret.
Others expressed being extremely creeped out by the decorations in the hut.
According to a local publication, Gogo Maweni once shared that she had gone through a lot and was thankful to her ancestors for guiding her.
She reportedly said,
“They [ancestors] took me out of a lot…They saved me.”
