Popular Nollywood actor, David Osagie has died just after leaving a movie set.
Confirming the incident, actress Ibiwari Etuk penned down an emotional tribute via her Instagram channel in the early hours of Wednesday morning as she noted that the late actor’s death came by surprise because he wasn’t sick.
Actress Ibiwari, who also revealed that she and the late actor were on a movie set together on Tuesday wrote: “This can’t be explained o. He filmed yesterday o; went back to rest hoping to resume shoot today but never woke up. Another king role interpreter is gone. What is this, God?”
A source cited by viral reports said the actor only slept and never woke up.
“Good morning fam; I hate to say this but we have lost another Nollywood king, Sir David. He wasn’t sick, it just happened. How do we explain this, another loss in Nollywood? Oh Lord have mercy,” the source said.
Late Osagie was born on October 1, 1968 and is survived by his wife and children.
