Turki Alalshikh waiting for Tyson Fury and Oleksandr Usyk winner for Anthony Joshua.
A picture of Anthony Joshua was posted on social media by Turki Alalshikh, the head of boxing in Saudi Arabia.
With the opportunity to become the first heavyweight champion to go unbeaten since Lennox Lewis in 1999, Fury and Usyk will face off in Saudi Arabia on May 18.
The bout contract has a rematch clause, therefore “The Gypsy King” will face his Ukrainian opponent twice.
Rumors of a fight between Fury and Joshua have been around for a while; Joshua has previously faced Usyk twice and lost both times.
But judging by a recent comment on social media, he might be ready to face the match’s victor next month.
H.E. Alalshikh, the head of Saudi boxing, tweeted a photo of himself with the former heavyweight world champion on X.
Although Fury was compelled to fight Deontay Wilder in a trilogy, Joshua and Fury were originally scheduled to square off in 2021.
Then, discussions on a prospective conflict in December 2022 were revived, but they collapsed once more as a result of contract signing delays.
