Arsene Wenger makes bold Bayern Munich vs Arsenal prediction

Former Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is optimistic about his former team’s chances as they gear up to face Bayern Munich at the Allianz Arena on Wednesday.

Despite the tie being evenly poised at 2-2 after the first leg, Wenger believes Arsenal can secure a spot in the Champions League semi-finals.

Arsenal and Bayern Munich are both vying for the coveted spot in the semi-finals of the Champions League. The first leg ended in a draw, setting the stage for a thrilling showdown in Munich. However, Wenger remains unfazed by Bayern’s home advantage, citing their recent vulnerabilities in Bundesliga matches. Despite Arsenal’s historical struggles against Bayern in away fixtures, Wenger expresses confidence in their ability to emerge victorious, emphasizing Bayern’s occasional lapses in form on their home turf.

Speaking to beIN Sports, he said: “Arsenal against Bayern Munich is a 50-50 game. Bayern have recently been vulnerable at home in the Bundesliga, they lost to Dortmund in a very important game so they will not be 100 percent confident. I still think Arsenal might just glide through against Bayern.”

A crucial affair for both sides

Arsenal and Bayern head into this clash with the hope of rejuvenating their seasons with a top performance in Champions League.

The Gunners suffered a setback in their pursuit of the Premier League title with a disappointing 2-0 defeat against Aston Villa, while Bayern’s hopes of clinching yet another Bundesliga title were dashed as Bayer Leverkusen secured their first-ever league triumph.

An exit from this competition will be the end of a potential trophy for the Bavarians this season while Arsenal will have to find a way to overtake Manchester City in the Premier League title race.
