Skales, a talented singer and owner of Ohk Records, kicks off the new year with the release of a new single titled “Kayefi.” This is a fast-paced track that will sound fantastic through your speakers.
Raoul John Njeng-Njeng (born 1 April 1991) is a Nigerian rapper, musician, and songwriter who goes by the moniker Skales. He began writing rap songs in Kaduna in the year 2000. Between 2007 and 2008, he participated in the Zain Tru Quest competition, winning the North Central area.
His debut single, “Must Shine,” received a lot of airplay on Lagos, Jos, and Abuja’s Rhythm FM stations. In 2009, he moved to Lagos and signed a recording contract with Empire Mates Entertainment.
Skales has over 200 songs under his belt and has worked with a number of artists, including eLDee and Banky W. “Shake Body,” “Mukulu,” “Komole,” and “My Baby” are some of his most well-known songs. Skales formed his record label, OHK Music, in 2014 and released his debut album the following year.
KAYEFI is a follow-up to Skales’ last single, “Inumidun,” which was released in late 2020 (“Inumidun” is a Yoruba word that means “I’m Happy”). On this new single, the singer, who is on a quest to entertain his fans and lovers of melodious songs with good music material, succeeds.
Skales is surprise that the lady who he is on trips with is yet to fall in love with him. Says he would be thankful she finally does.
