T.I Blaze, the Fresh Prince Of Lagos, is back with a new song called KILO, which features Skiibii Mayana.

T.I Blaze, a rising street performer, collaborates with Skiibii on KILO, a new song produced by Nipheys. This album comes as a follow-up to his debut EP, “The Fresh Prince Of Lagos.”

When T.I BLAZE’s upbeat ballad about the hustle and bustle of his formative years, “Sometimes,” went viral near the end of 2021, it all but confirmed the evolution of Nigerian street pop from the jarring, percussion-inflected bacchanal fare of its origins to an almost therapeutic art form fueled by angst and personal demons.

T.I BLAZE dives into this meditative essence on The Fresh Prince of Lagos EP, landing on an eclectic combination of minimalist drum rhythms, soulful synths, and string arrangements to create an immersive atmosphere. The initial words spoken on “Try” provide insight into the anxious mentality of the newcomer, whose hollowed-out raps and agile melodies overpoweringly hammer on money’s undeniable necessity.

Kilode (which meaning “What Happen?”) is abbreviated as “KILO.” Take a look at what T.I Blaze and Skiibii have to say in the video below.
