Legendary Spaniard defender, Gerard Pique couldn’t hold on with his emotion after he bid a final farewell to his boyhood club Barcelona Football Club.
The entertaining match against Almeria yesterday which the Spain Giants triumphed over with a tally of two goals marked the official last professional football match of the defender’s career.
While addressing the fans at Camp Nou, in tears, the singer made it vivid that he really care for the welfare of the club adding that he was born in the club and would eventually die in the club.
He promised a possible return and expressed how pained he is to leave FC Barcelona after several years of some good memories.
His words:
“In life, when you get older, you realize that sometimes to love is to let go. I’m convinced that I’ll be here again in the future”. 
“I love Barça. That’s why I consider it’s the right moment to go. This is not a goodbye. I was born here, I’ll die here”
