LOVE AGAIN – Inufin Ayomide
i.
We’ve been broken into puzzles,
The pain of yesterday still roams in the tunnel of our muscles,
The day broke and the night fell never to rise again,
Picking up our pieces never to fall in love again.
ii.
It tore me apart, the hurt at heart,
I fell in love and broke my heart,
Used to be full of love when I was a fool for love,
For vanity, I fell for gravity; never again will I fall for love.
iii.
I fell for you without a parachute,
I was lied to, truelove through lies of a truth.
Suicide became a tendency,
As tearstains left a legacy.
iv.
If Heaven can shower us the fortitude to rise again,
The rain to wash away the pain,
If a new picture can change our mind frame,
Perhaps, one day, we’ll fall in love again…
