Moses Simon is expected to go all out to win his second consecutive Coupe de France trophy as FC Nantes face Toulouse in the final of the competition this weekend.

Coupe de France champions Nantes will hope to continue their sterling run in the competition when they visit the Stade de France turf on Saturday.

Nantes known as Les Canaris got to the final for the second successive year after a 1-0 semi-final win over Lyon while Toulouse beat Annecy to reach their first Coupe de France final.

In 2022, Nantes left their Ligue 1 woes at the door to win the Coupe de France as their manager Antoine Kombouare’s cup specialties came to the fore help them clinch the trophy.

Meanwhile, Nantes boss, Kombouaré has revealed he still has a great level of confidence in Nigerian forward Simon to get back to his best of form in the Coupe de France final.

Simon has been off-form in the past weeks with the Nigerian winger having failed to shine for Nantes. He has just five goals and four assists in 28 Ligue 1 appearances this season.

He has not scored in his last 15 league ties since netting in a 2-2 draw with Ajaccio on November 13 of last year.

“He must do what it takes to become the Moses Simon we know. We know he has to work, vary his races, his dribbling. But I trust him. We need him for this end of the season,” Kombouaré said.
