Napoli to Replace Osimhen with Manchester United Striker Who Fans Want Dead

The Manchester United loanee has been identified as the perfect Victor Osimhen replacement

Serie A giants Napoli are reportedly eyeing Manchester United’s Mason Greenwood as a potential replacement for star striker, Victor Osimhen, who is set for a summer departure from the Italian club.

Osimhen set for Napoli departure

Super Eagles striker Osimhen is expected to leave Napoli this summer just one year after helping them secure their first Serie A title in 33 years thanks to a remarkable season where he netted 26 goals in 32 matches.

According to reports from The Athletic via il Napolista, Napoli has initiated contact with Manchester United regarding the possibility of signing Mason Greenwood, who is currently on loan at La Liga side Getafe and has scored 10 goals in 34 games across all competitions.

Controversial Greenwood on Napoli’s radar

Despite his recent on-field success, Greenwood’s future with Manchester United appears bleak following serious criminal allegations against him, which were eventually dropped. With Manchester United conducting an internal investigation and a reported mutual agreement for Greenwood to leave the club, Napoli sees an opportunity to bring the striker to Serie A.

Greenwood’s most recent appearance for Getafe was marred by hostile chants from Alaves supporters, who shouted “Greenwood, die” during the match, causing the game to be temporarily suspended before ending in a 1-0 defeat for the Azulones.
