Oppo Find N2 Flip is the company’s first true global foldable device. It comes with a compact clamshell design, strong main camera, flexible vertical hinges and a larger outside cover screen. Design

The Oppo Find N2 Flip features a unique design that sets it apart from traditional smartphones. This design is similar to the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4. It folds in half along a hinge in the middle, which is designed to withstand repeated folding and unfolding. The Flexion Hinge mechanism is also designed to keep the device open at a variety of angles, making it easier to use in different situations.

Oppo Find N2 Flip measures 166.2 x 75.2 x 7.5 mm when unfolded and 85.5 x 75.2 x 16 mm when folded. It weighs 191 grams, which is thinner than most smartphones even though it has a large size and foldable design which makes it easy to handle.

When unfolded, the device has a large 6.8 inches LTPO AMOLED display with a resolution of 1080 x 2520 pixels and a 120Hz refresh rate, offering an immersive viewing experience.

Display

Oppo Find N2 Flip features a foldable LTPO AMOLED display that measures 6.8 inches when unfolded and has a resolution of 2208 x 1768 pixels. The display has an aspect ratio of 21:9 and a pixel density of 403 pixels per inch.

Furthermore, the display has a 120Hz refresh rate and supports HDR10+ content. It also has a brightness of 1200 nits in high brightness mode (HBM) and can peak at 1600 nits.

The LTPO technology in the display helps to reduce power consumption, which is important for a device with a large screen and high refresh rate. The AMOLED technology provides deep blacks, high contrast ratios, and vibrant colors.

When the device is folded, it has a cover display on the front that measures 3.26 inches diagonally and has a resolution of 382 x 720 pixels that results in a pixel density of 250 pixels per inch. This display support 800 nits (HBM), and 900 nits peak brightness.

Camera

Oppo Find N2 Flip features a dual rear camera setup and a front-facing camera for selfies and video calls.

The dual rear camera setup includes a 50-megapixel wide-angle camera, and an 8-megapixel ultrawide camera. The wide-angle camera has a focal length of 23mm, an aperture of f/1.8 and support for Dual-Pixel Phase Detection Autofocus (PDAF).

On the other hand, the ultrawide camera has a 112 degree angle field of view  and an aperture of f/2.2.  The rear cameras are capable of recording 4K video at up to 60 frames per second and support HDR10+ content.

The front-facing camera has a 32-megapixel sensor and an aperture of f/2.4. It is located in a hole punch cutout on the main display of the device and can be used for selfies, video calls, and facial recognition.

Hardware and Software

Under Samsung’s Galaxy Z Flip processor that uses the Qualcomm Snapdragon, the Oppo Find N2 Flip opt for Mediatek Dimensity 9000+ chipset, which also the same chipset in Tecno’s Phantom V Fold.

This chipset is built on a 4nm manufacturing process and features a powerful octa-core CPU with one ARM Cortex-X2 core clocked at up to 3.20GHz, three Cortex-A710 cores clocked at up to 2.85GHz, and four Cortex-A510 cores clocked at up to 1.8GHz. It also has a Mali-G710 MC10 GPU and supports up to 16GB of LPDDR4x RAM.

On the software side, the Oppo Find N2 Flip runs on ColorOS 13 based on Android 13.  Oppo promised 4 years of major updates and 5 years of security patches, which is a most welcome development.

This phone also supports 5G network, Dual-Band Wi-Fi 6 802.11 ac, Bluetooth 5.3, NFC Dual GPS/AGPS, and GLONASS. The Oppo Find N2 Flip packs a 4,300 mAh battery, which supports 44W charging, which according to the company can charge up to 50% in 23 min.
